Baby Bottle Campaign – Last year FUMC & OOTBWC participated in the Tri-Area Pregnancy Resource Center’s Baby Bottle Campaign. With our combined efforts, we collected $1446.72. Once again we would like to extend an opportunity to provide support to the Tri-Area Pregnancy Center who help babies & young women in our community. Please pick up a baby bottle in the Lobby at OOTBWC, fill it with your spare change & return on Father’s Day. All monies collected benefit the Tri-Area Pregnancy Center.

VBS Volunteers Needed – It’s time to start planning for VBS and this year’s coordinator, Tammy Payne, needs your help in order to make VBS successful and reach children for Christ! VBS is scheduled for June 23^rd – 28^th from 6pm – 8pm at FUMC Hillsville with an ice cream social on Friday night at 7pm. Leaders and volunteers are needed, contact Tammy Payne at daveandtammy@centurylink.net.

CCMA Food Pantry operates every Thursday from 10 am until noon and the second Saturday each month and volunteers are needed to take information, serve coffee to FP recipients, help carry boxes, and pray. Can’t make it on Sat but still want to help? Volunteers needed Friday night at 6pm to pack boxes for distribution. Uprising – Out of The Box Worship Center is partnering with Cornerstone Community Church, and Christ Chapel Galax to bring you a night of worship.  The worship team from Out Of The Box will be joining alongside the teams from Cornerstone and Christ Chapel for a night full of worship and fellowship.  The event is free of charge and is being held May 25 @ 6:30pm, at the Rex Theatre in Galax.  Be sure and mark your calendars and come worship with us!

Mom2Mom Book Club – This is a new life group that will be meeting on the last Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at OOTBWC. The next meeting is 5/30 and the group is reading “Hope for the Weary Mom” by Brooke McGlothlin & Stacey Thacker. Books are provided. Bean Supper -  Fri, 5/31 from 4 – 8pm at FUMC Hillsville hosted by the Missions and Outreach Team. This supper will benefit the mission trip of Missionaries Carl and Debbie Ginder who will be travelling to Africa to minister and teach bible classes.

School’s Out Wipe Out Zone Party – Sat, 6/1 from 2 – 4pm at FUMC Hillsville on Fulcher St. Bring a friend and compete against them to see who can make it through our obstacle course the fastest. Household Blessing – We will be blessing Crystal Rosier and her two young children with gifts of household items on Sat, 5/11 at 1pm. Crystal recently moved into the Fuller House in Hillsville. The blessing will be located at the Fuller House at 1822 Crestview, Hillsville. Summer Camp Registration at Camp Dickenson – Any child registering through a Wytheville district church receives the $100.00 Wytheville District Discount. Please get your registrations in as soon as possible as some camps are beginning to fill up. Check out our Web site at www.campdickenson.com for summer camp information and registration. Camp Dickenson has a wish list of items that are needed for the Camp. Some of the needed items are: Bleach, floor cleaners, Murphy’s oil, dish detergent, sanitizing hand soap, Comet, Ajax cleaner, bathroom cleaners, white copy paper, toilet paper, legal size copy paper, light bulbs, letter size manila file folders.

Messianic Passover Seder – Thursday, 3/28 at 6pm at FUMC Hillsville, Fellowship Hall. Come taste and experience all the traditional elements of a Passover Seder and hear how they point to God’s ultimate redemption in the death and resurrection of Jesus. Mom2Mom Book Club – This is a new life group that will be meeting on the last Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at OOTBWC. Children’s Easter Egg Hunt and Party – Sat, 3/30 from 2pm – 4pm at FUMC Hillsville on Fulcher St. Donations of plastic eggs and individually wrapped candy are needed. Relay for Life Fantasy Tea Party – 4/13 from 2:30pm – 4:00pm at FUMC Hillsville, Fulcher St. Tickets can be purchased at FUMC Hillsville, Country Formals & Gifts in Hillsville & Creekside Café in Galax.

Benefit Baseball Game – Emory & Henry vs Ferrum – Wed 4/17 at 7pm, Calfee Park, Pulaski, VA. Admission: Adults $4, Students $2, Scouts in uniform admitted free. E & H & Ferrum Students with ID admitted free. Proceeds benefit Camp Dickenson.

Children’s Ministry Needs Volunteers – We are currently offering seven ministry areas each Sunday morning for the children. Please see Patti Holderfield or call 276-236-7812 if you are available to be part of any of the rotations as aides.
