Celebration Sunday – 7/29/12 at OOTBWC. We have been in ministry together at OOTBWC for 18 months and on Sunday 7/29 we are going to celebrate! This is going to be an awesome day of worship, fellowship and food and we are making plans to make this day extra special! Please join us in worship at 9:00am or 10:30am at the worship center and then come to lunch after the 2nd service at OOTB Youth Center. This is a potluck lunch. The church is providing drinks and is asking everyone to come join in the celebration and fellowship and bring a dish to share. There will be someone at the worship center to assist you with your food.
The Congregational Care Ministry has started and you should be contacted by a leader very soon. If you have not been contacted by the end of July, please let Pastor Pam know at pamsuth57@gmail.com.
A Call to Fast – Pastor Ronnie is calling everyone at Out Of The Box Worship Center to fast in 2012. Please pray about this and if you would like to commit to fasting in 2012, email Pastor Ronnie at ronnie24317@yahoo.com. There is also a calendar in the lobby at the worship center where you can indicate the dates you are fasting.
Adventure on Promise Island – Tuesday’s from 6pm – 8pm. This is a great summer program for kids where we will explore God’s promises and His amazing love for us. We will have supper, Bible Stories, music, crafts and fun games! Bring your friends and join us! American Cancer Society’s Relay for LIfe… Will take place Friday & Sat. July 27th & 28th. If you would like to honor someone you know that is suffering with cancer or remember someone you have lost to cancer and would like to purchase a Luminary please contact Cindy Brown at browniebitesofwoodlawn@gmail.com or call 276-733-6228. Luminaries – White ($5) Gold ($25) and this year we also have Tiki Torch for ($35). ALL Luminary requests must be in NO LATER THAN July 21st 2012.
Calling All Men – is a spiritual gathering to strengthen and inspire men on their journey with Christ. This is a one day event for men on Sat, 8/11 at Pleasant View UMC in Abingdon, VA or Sat, 8/25 at Concord UMC in Knoxville, TN. Register online at CallingAllMen.net. There are registration forms in the lobby at the worship center.
FUMC Blood Drive Volunteers Needed – We need a volunteer for each of the following dates to assist with the re-set of the Fellowship Hall for Sunday services at FUMC Hillsville on Fulcher St. Please contact Bill Webb at 733-5974 if you can be there for approximately 1 hour between 2:30-3:30 on one or more of these Saturday afternoons:

We also welcome volunteers to assist with greeting, escorting and serving snacks to the donors. The time for donations is from 10-2.
Monday Morning Bible Study will resume on Monday morning, 8/13 at 9:30am with a new study, “The Miracle of Life Change” by Chip Ingram. This is a 10 week informal study group composed of men and women that meets weekly at Out Of The Box Youth Center.

Finance Committee Reminder – It is time for all ministry groups to consider your funding needs for 2013 in order for the Finance Committee to prepare next year’s budget. Please turn in your requests to the office by 9/1/12.
Wonderful Wednesdays at FUMC Hillsville Fulcher Street will resume on 9/5/12.

R.A.M.P. – This is a Ministry for young girls about Respect, Attitude, Modesty and Purity and will involve an event on Saturday, 9/15/12 at FUMC Hillsville. Event planners are working on ideas for this event and recruiting volunteers. Also needed are donations of money, desserts and door prizes.
